Maybe it was a caregiver such as a physician or nurse?
Perhaps it was one of our cheerful and helpful support staff in housekeeping or patient transport?
Maybe it was someone who took the time to help you find your way around the hospital, or a volunteer in the gift shop?
When someone goes the extra mile, when they exceed expectations, how do you show them your appreciation?
The Sturgeon Community Hospital is a very busy place and whenever someone takes the time to show appreciation for the care or treatment they receive, we want to celebrate it! Stellar at the Sturgeon puts a face and a name to the wonderful people who work tirelessly in the hospital every day.
“The Stellar at the Sturgeon initiative allows patients, families and staff to nominate someone they believe has made a difference to others. We have so many kind, caring people in this hospital, it’s only fitting that they be honoured and made to feel as special as they have made others feel. The kindness that you extend by nominating someone will be paid forward when you least expect it. “ – Katherine MacMillan, Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation Board Member.
This month so far at the Sturgeon, 12 staff members have been nominated by grateful patients, family members and medical staff. Based on the incredible work being done in this hospital it could well be double that number each month!
